The food at mamajuana was tasty. The empanadas were packed with flavor but were a bit small. The server was helpful, fast and efficient.

The food was SO good!!!! I wish I remembered what this dish was but I know it was a family recipe and it is one of their cultural dishes. Inside dining is more formal than the outside dining. I dined outside and there was music and fun. I also had mofongo and it was mouth watering. The black rice was delicious. I did not have drinks this day, but I'd imagine that it would also be delicious. The restaurant is located outside of Tampa on the outskirts so I have not had an opportunity to return.

I've been to other Mamajuana Cafe's in another state and I must say, the food is consistently delicious as well as the drinks! The service however is always a bit slower than I would like (possible due to fresh orders being made). The staff is friendly and attentive as well, and the interior has tons of areas where beautiful Instagram worthy pic can be taken. I love that they sometime have a live band or DJ, but I must admit it can get loud. Point of advice, this may not be for you if you're looking for a quiet place to eat. What I love about this place is that they offer amazing brunch as well and you get day party vibes. The food is exquisitely flavorful, and you get pretty large portions for a reasonable price. I would definitely recommend a special occasion celebration here or even just a fun night out for dinner with little fuss.

Restaurant was a little loud, but the food was amazing. Nice and fresh, and didn't take long at all.

After seeing other businesses fail here I passed it dozens of times with little to no thought about it. A random google search and a look at the menu peaked my interest and I put it on my list. I will call it caribe hispanic inspired cuisine since the food is a collection of dishes from the latino culture of the islands like Puerto Rico, Cuba and the Dominican Republic. I started with the Tostones Mar y Tierra with shrimp and churrasco on a bed of guacamole on top of fried plantain chip. Good flavors throughout making for a very tasty starter. Next I had a Carribean style Mamajuana Paella with assorted seafood. A delicious dish similar to that made in Spain that is chock full of fresh seafood, flavors of saffron and chorizo and pimiento and peas. It's not a wet rice which is what I make myself and much prefer. The decor is beautiful, there is colored lighting, a tranquil ambiance at lunch time that gets more spirited at night when there is live music. There is a full bar, a couple of artistic murals and plenty of dining space. The service by Melissa was attentive, helpful and friendly. An impressive and dazzling example of fine dining latino cuisine. Come get you some.

I came here for lunch on a Saturday at 12:30. It wasn't busy at all. The decor and ambiance was nice and it was/felt really specious inside. The service was amazing. Our waiter and everyone else who worked there that walked by smiled and greeted us. I ordered the stuffed salmon and the mofungitos. The stuffed salmon was good, I wasn't the biggest fan of the rice that came with it but it's wasn't terrible. The mofungitos were good but I'll try them with a different sauce next time. The chicken empanadas were really good! So flavorful. They have a huge drink menu and some pretty good birthday packages. For 3 bottles, a bottle of champagne, and a hookah it's $500. That's a good value compared to other places. I would come here again to try other things.
